Sandy and Donn
News from Sandy and Donn:
I retired last August. Retirement has some good benefits...no morning commute
and plenty of time to check E-bay for Syracuse China. Donn is still dealing
with corporate life at Travelers. I think he enjoys having me at home though.
Dinner is usually ready when he gets home and we seem to have so much more time
in the evening now.
We spent a few days in Williamsburg, VA this spring. It is truly a beautiful
area with lots to see and do. We hope to go back again for a much longer
visit.
I've been entering our family tree on Ancestry.com. Those with e-mail
addresses will receive a notification from Ancestry.com when their name has been
added. You will be able to view edit and add information to the tree.
Please log on and enjoy.
See you all on the 4th.

Sherry and Mike
Jonathan is still attending Kent State, English Major, and working at Winking Lizard. He has been such a blessing to me! Helping out when I need him. Mike was injured and unable to walk, Jon stepped up and helped with a party we threw and has mowed the lawn and just about anything we ask, he does. What an awesome man he has turned out to be!
Alex is going into 9th grade, High School! She plays basketball, does High Intensity Training and is just in amazing physical shape. Al is enjoying her summer.
Maria, our girl in Ecuador, in her letter we just got today: "Please pray for me and my family and for my studies because I have just one more year to finish the primary school and the I will go to the high school."
Mike, is still at Babcock and Wilcox, designing utility boilers and all that fun engineering stuff. He has injured his foot/ankle/heel again. Working on the hill side does it! Mike is trying to finish the other set of stairs that goes down to the pool.
That is his hobby, finishing projects!
Sherry, I started work at my church in March. I had been fighting the feeling that God wanted me to go into ministry. This is how I answered it. Well, it is a start.
I am the central campus coordinator. I schedule all the function space at our main campus, do research and all kinds of fun stuff. My passion is for people to know, really know, that God loves them. I am still figuring out how to implement that. (laugh)
John and Bonnie
John and Bonnie are still in Rutland Vt. John has been with the VT Flower Exchange for 5 years and Bonnie has been at Surburan Propane for a year.

Bonnie had surgery on her knee, she had 3 torn (messculess?) some medical term, which had caused a lot of pain.

Marty and Karen
Hello,
This is family news from Marty and Karen Bell.
We have been together 16 years this June 26th and we be married for 15 years on October 10th this year. We recently bought a new house together in Hermon, ME.
Karen works at Bangor-Hydro and is extremely happy with her job, the people there are great and that makes all the difference in the world.
I quit my job at Hollywood Slots because the majority of the people were not happy. I have some options that I am looking into and hope to find a position working with people who like their jobs and each other.
I have two children, Eric 24 and Amy 20. There are both in college. Eric is majoring in business management and Amy is majoring in x-ray technician. They are both doing well and hope to finish school in the next two years.

Sue 2007
Hi! An update from Sue Starr (Hitchcock/Bell)
I joined a bowling league last year at church. Started out about 60 per string, hadn't bowled in 50 years. Highest score at the end was 115, so, I know I can do it! We'll start again in September.
Sang a solo in church last August 20th, Panis Angelicus in Latin. I enjoy doing it.
Dick and I worked in the shad shack for about 6 weeks. He and three other women filled the shad. I worked in pm every day selling it and cleaning the shop. We had fun. A picnic for all of us was held June 24th in East Haddam.
We've been going back and forth to our property in NH coming back every few days to pick produce from the garden. Peas, squash and raspberries right now. Tomato and beans will follow.
Updates on children:
Becky says "hi" from Georgia. Still dog grooming, 4 children all doing fine.
Kathy is designing flower arrangements in a grocery store now. Training her 2 golden retrievers. Joe is doing golf again. Both doing well.
Merri will probably come to the reunion. Boys played baseball, going to put in a pool in August.
See you August 4th!

Bell Family Reunion August 5, 2006
In Loving Memory of Allen and Zelta Bell and Susan E Bell
Forms will be available at the reunion for the family tree and address book. We'd like everyone to fill them out before they leave. We can maintain contact this way.
Sandy will compile the information for both documents and will forward copies to those who request them.
So far Sandy has gone back in history to her generations’ great great grandfather, Elijah Bell. She would like to go back further and plan to do so when she retires and has the time to do more research. At this point Sandy has gotten all she could off the internet. Now Sandy needs to get into the archives of some of the towns where people were born, married or died. Luckily a good deal of that will take place in CT. However, Elijah was born in Ohio. If she can find out where, she might ask Sherry or Anne to do some research there. Will keep you posted.
Allen Bell Jr (son of Allen and Zelta Bell Sr)
Allen and Eleanor sold their large home in Hampden ME. They are now living in Glenburn Me, in a mobile home that they purchased in a nice park in the country.
Allen retired in December 2004. Since then he keeps busy with golfing, working out at the gym and endless work projects. We had a room added on to the mobile home and a garage/workshop built. Both of which, Al did all the finish work on. Also, he bought a pop-up camper. Al has been busy outfitting that and plans on much camping.
We vacationed in May, driving to North and South Carolina and to Ohio. We visited Sherry and her family in OH, it was a good time.
Eleanor now works 7-8 months a year in an office.
Allen participated in the MS Walkathon in Bangor, walking 5 miles and raising $240 in memory of Gram Bell (Zelta Bell.)
Sandy Krasnitski (daughter of Allen and Zelda Bell Sr)
Sandy is working at Arrowhead Printing and Donn at St Paul Travelers. Someday retirement and getting to visit with everyone will be what they will be doing.
Donn’s Mom Shirley is living with them.
Donn enjoys collecting trains and Sandy starting collecting china from trains.

Some of my memories of family are …the smell of doughnuts remind me of Gram and Gramps. Grammy was always positive. Grampa taught me to be tough and not complain (remember the hot ashes in my eye from the fireworks?). Uncle Jack saving me in the water. Playing in the woods with Cindy and Vicky. Fishing at the pond and burying the fish in the back yard. How hot it was upstairs and Poison Ivy every visit! Bobby and Patrick visiting us in ME.
